I love this place. The service is always friendly and wonderful, my eggs were cooked to perfection, nice and fluffy, the fruit is always fresh cut and not swimming in its own juices, the cakes are absolutely wonderful. I am definitely a fan of their creme brulee, in the past two days I've gotten three of those! I used to buy a Rosca de Reyes at the Mexican bakeries, but got tired of finding roscas that were not flavorful. Since trying the French version of this pastry to celebrate the season, I cannot go back to the other ones! The Kings cake was soft, buttery and delicious! It also came with the charm to add inside (per the tradition) and a crown. I also tried their croissants and those were also buttery, fresh and delicious. This is probably the best bakery in Carlsbad. A mid-morning or afternoon escape to the French countryside isn’t. Bakery Bakery. A mid-morning. La Madeleine signature pâtisseries are baked fresh daily in.

Beautiful pastries and lovely service! Ordered a couple omelettes, that came with potatoes, and picked up a couple croissants to fuel up before our day in Legoland. We've tried a few different little cakes and they were super good. We also ordered the chocolate cake with the strawberries and it was amazing, super moist cake and perfect amount of cream and strawberries. Everyone really enjoyed it and was asking where it was from. Hadn't been her in years but decided to try it out for Mother's Day. Not a great choice. Our food never came out. The large group of people who arrived after us were already paying by the time I had had enough waiting and got up to cancel mine and my kids' food. People who arrived after is and even some who ordered takeout were served before us. Never going back. Rude, inattentive service. It didn't take much to realize that our food had not come out yet. Had the waiter shown a bit more attention or given updates, it would have been better. Instead he avoided our table knowing full well I was staring and motioning for him to come over. Not. My family has been coming here for the past 1. I seriously love this place. The lunch menu is amazing, pastries are delicious and the cakes are the best in town. Even though we moved to vista my girlfriend and I still make the drive to this location to get out cakes for any special occasion or to simply have lunch. Olivier the owner is hands own with the pastries and you can taste the love he puts into them. The staff is very welcoming and the beach is at walking distance if you ever want to go for a nice walk down the coast. I highly recommend this place! This place is tart heaven. Most variety of fruit tart cakes/pies here. Pears, usual berries, etc. The crust was amazing. We haven't tried anything else here. Candles at the discount store next door. They only have limited numbers or baseball candles. Its possible to find parking. Beautiful pastries and lovely service! I I'd love to give this place more stars because the people there are friendly and sweet! However, I thought the pastry I bought (attaching a picture) was a little overpriced ($4. Sweet cool French bakery with delicious breakfast items. They even have crepes!! There's limited choices. The cakes were dry, cookies were flavorless, and chocolate truffles were blah. They shouldn't charge LA prices for crappy pastries. Love this place has great pastries. Always seem to have cakes ready for you to grab and go. Slightly pricey but i think its worth it. The breakfast was OK. The egg on the inside of the omelette was running and wiggly. The staff is so friendly, offering to refill coffee the perfect lil uncrowded place for breakfast. The baguettes are yummy too! Not satisfied with the service and quality of food. They should have a better customer service in order not to get the one star review and keep the customer happy. Me: quiche and regular coffee. This place is all things French and decadent that we love. Loaves of fresh baguettes, melt in your mouth croissants, fruit tarts, and other dreamy desserts. Almost forgot; the breakfast and lunch is very tasty too. From what I've sampled at this place, it's great. Service was mediocre and the highlight of our meal were the four horny cooks trying to get my attention while I was standing in line to pay our check. Omit the breakfast, stick to pastries.
